Ventajas

I started with Progressive in 2015. I love the people and the work culture. However, the pay is not as competitive as other insurance companies, The gain share has been extremely low in comparison to other years, yet we have not gotten a fair market salary increase. From 2015-2018 my bonuses were between $7-8K now we are as low as $2K. I have been with the company for 7 years and it's hard to promote into complex and/or desirables roles unless you get a manager referral, get hand pick, or grandfather in via family/friend referral. The only option I had is to 'demote or make lateral moves'. After a while, I went as far as I can in the company. I volunteered, I stayed late, I did overtime, I mentored others, I took on special projects, I assisted reps who were falling behind, and scored perfectly on all my end-of-year-performance reviews. I did everything possible to be seen as a valuable employee, yet I could not promote from a level 36 to a 39 or 41. I stayed as long as I did because I love the people I work with and the work culture - it's one of the best. However due to the economy and inflation, I had to apply for other opportunities, and I was baffled that other big-name insurance companies seen the VALUE and greatness in me and were willing to give me a chance with a promoted position and more pay. I got a job offer as a large loss field specialist making $89K (with no experience) in comparison to making only $53K at a company I have been at for 7 years. I hope Progressive consider their long-term employees and treat them right because they lost a lot of loyal employees due to this. I will suggest applying for a level 37-41 role so you can promote faster versus starting from the bottom because they don't consider (med pay, ccu-liability, pip, clru or underwriting as complex experience). It will definitely hold you back regardless how good you are.

Desventajas

Low pay, low gainshare, and difficulties promoting.

Ventajas

Work from home, Ok opportunities to learn more but opportunities are becoming slim.

Desventajas

Between Micromanagement, work overload and with the use of vendors and AI employees are at risk. Corporate seems to not care that were all tired of the customers that are being abusive when corporates made bad decisions and these poor people have thousands withdrawn from an AI error. Pay for this level of company and the increasing headaches is not good, no monthly bonus, no commissions. No pension. Health benefits are available but not affordable. And the undo stress is causing my peers to consider quiting even ones that been here over 10yrs
