Ventajas
If your work is good, you will be easily identified and recognised by your leads and there is no formal hierarchy between senior leadership and a fresher. Depending on the projects that you are getting tagged , it can be good.
Desventajas
You will only be recognised but that will not be translated in terms of compensation. The company is currently running based on a lot of 24/7 support projects and if you get stuck in such projects then good luck moving on to a newer role as the projects go on for years and getting project release would not be easy.
