The webinars and continued professional development (CPD) courses that the ProZ Video Library and proz.com/tv offer are very interesting and helpful. BlueBoard by ProZ.com is a nice place to research translation companies before contacting them.

Like any other job portal or directory, there are scams on the website from time to time. Whenever I see a scam on Proz.com, I contact support.
Good people doing good work for other good people. Many opportunities for growth, nice quality of life for employees, and endless opportunities to improve the lives of real people.
