Ventajas
Point Inside is a fast growing company working in a fast growing space. The technology is not only interesting, but really useful. The problems in mobile, retail, and indoor location are challenging, and working here is never boring. Because Point Inside is small, there is no middle management layer. Everyone- from the entry level positions to the VP's contributes every day. It's a hard-working company with a younger vibe. This is not a company where you can disappear. There are lots of opportunities here. If you have a good idea, your manager will support you to make it a reality. Fast-paced, multiple projects, and constantly changing priorities are pretty standard at most tech companies, and it's no different at Point Inside. Point Inside has the culture of a small-medium size company, and the stability of a larger, more established company. The company has been profitable for years, and is in a very stable financial position. As the company gets larger, more processes are needed, but the company runs far away from anything that isn't necessary. Employees have a huge influence over these as they are developed, which is a big plus. Comp and benefits are mid-range. Sure, other larger companies have better, but Point Inside does try to do the best they can to benefit employees, and each year, benefits improve. Some highlights include a $100/month transportation stipend, 401(k) matching, and flexible schedules.
Desventajas
Highly engineering focused org. Non-engineering teams lack as many resources, but this is luckily improving as company sees need. Commuting from Seattle to Bellevue isn't ideal, but choosing hours that work with the commute helps.
