The culture felt punitive, not supportive, and it seemed like they were always looking for someone to blame instead of actually addressing problems fairly. Leadership would say they were there to help, but in reality they would throw you under the bus the second it became convenient. They also lead employees on with promotions and goals, and when those goals are finally met, the goal posts seem to move. Budgets were absurdly tight, expectations were unrealistic, and staff were effectively expected to work 55-hour weeks just to meet hour goals. I was let go without notice, never put on a PIP, and never given a genuine chance to correct anything. I had also told my people manager I was planning to have a child, and about a month later I was terminated, which made the whole situation feel even worse. This was one of the clearest examples I have seen of leadership saying the right things while doing the exact opposite.
