Ventajas

The clients that you get to work with are challenging but amazing. Every day is different, and you get to make up your own schedule for the most part. To be fair, regardless of all of my "cons", this is probably the better of the companies like it in the area, for both staff and clients.

Desventajas

Where to begin? I worked at this company for over a year and the things I saw made my skin crawl. People with no managerial experience whatsoever but who were friends with the right people being handed promotions. Upper management cornering clients without their support staff present to try to coerce them into joining certain programs (yeah, that happened, yeah, my client was so freaked out, and yeah, I was livid). Asinine quarterly meetings that were usually just an hour and a half of "sorry, we're not raising your salary after all". Upper management saying rude things about clients when they thought no one was listening. Upper management being mean to clients' faces. Being told one thing and then being reprimanded by someone else for not doing something else. Hearing someone in upper management refer to a deaf person as a "death" person... (*facepalm*). Watching coworkers who have been with the company for over a decade be FINALLY promised a raise... and then get 10 cents extra an hour. Requesting time off through the proper channels and having it be ignored. Requesting time off on short notice for an emergency and having your boss fly off the handle and tell you to use proper channels. "Certain people" getting away with things. Not being able to work if clients call out. Seeing how painfully obvious that all the company cares about is money- they want the funding that correlates with attendance, and will do whatever it takes to get it. Some of this is typical for the field, yes, but MOST of it is ECO issues. If I could wrap all of this up into one, giant "con" it would simply be UNPROFESSIONAL. Straight up, all around.
