Ventajas
The company has given me excellent opportunity to do anything I wanted in the name of big data and analytics. Free Friday lunch and flexible work time . Very good peers though not very knowledgeable senior management
Desventajas
the legacy of consulting is very strong because the people who run the company did not make any effort to adapt themselves to the new industry they wanted to venture in. They were more concerned to survive in the challenging environment they themselves put them in - and played dirty politics often at the expense of foot soldiers (read hands on analytics folks). Most of the senior scientists in US (there were none in India) had profiles of "rocket scientists" but in reality they couldnt have ever used a musket in self defence. The domain knowledge in the company is severely lacking and again senior managers like principals never had the courage to hire experts because they would inevitably been challenged. All in all the running of the company is a big question mark. At least I haven't understood what they do with the raised capital?May be that is why the investors never renewed their interest in Opera
