Good People Incompetent C-Level Leaders: opiniones de empleados con el puesto de Senior Manager Global Alliances en OpenText

Ventajas

OpenText employees are some of the hardest working colleagues I've worked during my career. Most are very helpful and genuinely work to make the company successful. Most mid-level managers are willing to help your career through recommendations to open management positions or other areas within the company that might be of interest to you.

Desventajas

C-Level executives (CEO, CMO, and others) were incompetent during my tenure. The CEO (2024) was a micro-manager, getting involved with any decision over $20K. The culture was report, report, and more reports (weekly). I spent over 60% of my time doing reports, which made it hard to get anything done. Everything required approvals (all the way to the top). My role interacted with many of our C-level execs and they were basically yes-men followers (not leaders). The CEO was removed by the board about 9 months after I left, but I'm hearing from old co-workers that the company is still dealing with the fallout of the previous CEO.

Ventajas

I no longer work there.

Desventajas

They do not value their employees. I was told to never take more than a week off at a time, or it was proof you were not needed. They do not value their customers. Channels created to allow customer feedback to management were shutdown because management did not want to have to deal with customers upset about product issues caused by their cost cutting.
