Despite the talent, the work environment is deeply flawed and I cannot recommend it. Be aware of the following:
Lack of Accountability: Underperformers are retained while high-performers burn out covering for them. It's an accepted part of the culture.
Flawed Decision-Making: The US-based business team has full control over product decisions without the required expertise, leading to constant "fire-drills" and overtime for the Singapore team.
Empty Promises: The CEO makes apologies for poor leadership but repeats the same mistakes. There is no follow-through.
Broken Bonus Promise: Leadership explicitly promised a delayed bonus to motivate the team, only to cancel it months later after the hard work was done. All pay raises were also frozen. This was a massive blow to morale and trust.
Deceptive Leave Practices & Shifting Excuses: My offboarding was handled unethically. I was asked to cancel all my leave—including days carried over from the previous year—to help on a project. Initially, the company refused to pay for any of it in writing, absurdly calling my final salary a "goodwill gesture." Only after I challenged this did they hold a meeting and change their story. They then offered to pay for my current year's leave but hid behind a handbook policy to avoid encashing the carried-over days. The message is clear: they will ask you to sacrifice your personal time, then use shifting excuses and policy loopholes to avoid compensating you fully for it.
