Ventajas
Every one is approachable If you are into fun activities and games, there is scope for conducting them Good camaraderie Good to work for 1 or 2 years as a fresher Location (It might no longer be a pro)
Desventajas
1. No definite roadmap other than fancy statements 2. All the control lies with head office at Austin, Texas. They are rude and consider superior to other branches. No autonomy with branches. Every minute thing needs a nod from them. They don't want other branches to come up. 3. Lot of politics when it comes to travel opportunities. Managers and seniors abuse and never let others travel. 4. People are not valued. The concern is only about release(especially after new CEO took charge). 5. Work life balance is pathetic for some teams. Lot of late evening calls with head office (almost on daily basis). 6. A bit of sexual discrimination (men are not treated with equal respect as women) 7. Unfair work environment. Many teams don't have a lot of work. They work from 11 to 5. Some teams need to slog it out with many hours beyond work hours. Yet there is not much of a difference in salary (1-2% difference in hike). Infact promotions are easier in large teams with laid back employees. 8. Pay is a joke. There is no correlation between pay and the effort you spend. 9. This is not a place for ambitious hard workers. Career growth is non existent. They simply don't want employees to grow. 10. Employees don't get due credit. No transparency what so ever. Tech leads and managers will be all over the place and take credit for everything and mask the contributions of junior developers. (If you do 90% of a work, tech leads get credit for it. you'll get credit for 10% of the work you dint do). 11. There is no confidentiality in the conversations you have. If you discuss something in confidence with some senior person, you will most likely hear someone else discussing it in the washroom the next day!
