Ventajas
Coming from a legal background in private practice working here is worlds away from what I was used to! Everyone is really open, welcoming and always happy to help. There are so many opportunities for progression and these are really pushed by management! People don’t really seem to leave, and people do move around the business into different teams etc. and there isn’t any animosity about this which you would get in private practice. Training programme is excellent, workloads are high but lots of support given. Really interesting work and overall love working here!
Desventajas
Monthly salaries are lower than in private practice simply because of the large pension contributions (nhs pension). Salaries could be increased to compensate for this. My current salary is over £5k more than my private practice job but I come out with effectively the same monthly income because of the large contribution!
