Desventajas
They expect for you to do way too much for what they pay. It felt like my job description kept getting bigger and broader every week, and this is after being employed there for multiple years. They also treat managers differently, some can get away with murder and others are shunned for employees not having their shirts tucked in... Working for the CEO felt like we were working for a cartoon Super Villain because not only did he do outlandish things like go into a competitor's store and claim he was a company executive to steal company secrets, but he would travel to different stores and managers were told to pretend that they did not know he was coming in and to act surprised and uncomfortable. And under no circumstance were we to tell him the truth about any legitimate concerns that we faced in our stores. There is a huge lack of structure across the company on the store level. Going into each store was like going to a different country, everyone was different. This seems like no big deal until you are asked to cover a store and they do everything backwards from how you do it. Being a manager is probably the worst position to be in the company. The employees are union, so they have a ridiculous amount of leeway to do as they please. You are not union as a manager so they can just treat you any way they please. upper level management can just say what ever they want about your performance with any proof to back what they are saying, and it sticks and no one will even look at or hear your side of the situation. There are a lot of unqualified people that make it into management and they hurt the company. business is trending down across the company and managers do not see increases in pay, sometimes for years. Despite this, they spend money on things like Mac computers that sit in back rooms, never to be used by anyone or security cameras that are not active or connected to any recording devices or feeds.
