Ventajas
Good training, in particular for graduates. Good name on the CV. Ability to move between departments e.g. benefits and investment. Some very clever people. You will learn a lot in the first couple of years after that much less stimulating.
Desventajas
Career advancement at whim of Senior Management. Struggle with retention of the best people. Pay relatively low. Bonus does not provide adequate incentive. Too slow to react to poor performers. Much depends on the quality if your manager - and there are too many poor ones. Work tends to be very process driven and routine after a while.
