Ventajas
Team: Incredibly intelligent and driven group of people. Every single person is passionate about improving maths education. It's really great working in an environment where everyone is aligned with the mission. Founders: I can't honestly say I've ever worked with founders like Mo, Chris and Alvin before. Our higher purpose drives all product/company decisions. We are encouraged to try new things, make mistakes and learn from mistakes. 'Growth mindset' is at the core of the business and the way the founders lead the business. Transparency: We have a fortnightly 'all hands' meeting in which our CEO, Mo, updates the team on company developments , product decisions etc. This has been a great step forward in creating a culture of transparency. Flexibility: Flexible working hours and a focus on 'quality of time' over 'quantity of time' spent at work Diversity/equality: Mathspace offers a completely level playing field. For me personally I notice this most on the gender equality front. Working at Mathspace you are not aware of your gender. Everyone treats one another with respect. Women are given the exact same opportunities as men. I notice one of the reviews below alludes to women getting preferential treatment. This is simply not true. It's a shame that in a business where true gender equality exists that some disgruntled former employee would misconstrue this as 'preferential treatment.'
