Everyone performs all jobs, not specialization

Some of the people there were very professional, nice folks. Company car. They generally provided the tools necessary to perform the job. The sprinkler division seemed to be run pretty well.

Middle management (my manager) was very secretive, always had his door shut. Not much of a team atmosphere. I never really had a clear cut quota or clear instructions on what to sell or the installers would have no experience with the product or not like the product. Commissions were only paid after the job was completed and only if nothing went wrong during the installation, booking, parts ordering etc. Anyone from the industry knows something almost always goes wrong somewhere during the process so I saw very little of the commissions I was due. I had a medical situation which laid me up for a over a month and the week I got back to work I was let go with no warning, no corrective action, no counseling, just walked out the door like a criminal. Before my medical situation I was being told how good management thought I was doing, even called an over-achiever. The security division was pretty much in disarray. They did have a couple of good technicians but it was always a mad scramble to grease the squeakiest wheel. I recommend to try and find a different place to work.
