They have restructured their portfolio and sold-off their IT company (IS&GS) and all the IT work except for what support their core business: manufacturing of things that fly, float, or explode. The services sector is too competitive and low-margin for these large corporations to survive. Defense materiel is more lucrative to the shareholders.
