Ventajas

The product actually works, it is fairly well known among fast growing startups in the Bay Area and a little outside of the Bay as well. A great place to train and start if you are right out of college and can afford to live with your parents like most of the ADR's do. Unlimited PTO that seems to be an unspoken rule that you can't take ( I haven't even been able to see a Dr. )

Desventajas

This is NOT a place I would recommend to anyone with experience. The pay is very low in comparison to other companies the OTE is unrealistic. There is literally 2 people out of 30 or so that actually hit quota. The two that hit quota have been there for years and have figured out the "LeanData" way which is grabbing accounts that have been worked for a long time. Everyone else is starving to death with the scraps. The product is middleware and salesforce native so you are limited to whom you can sell to. The management whom is mostly new fails to understand the product or the likeliness of this product actually being able to scale the way that they have said to investors. There is no work life balance, no ability to work from home and the executives LITERALLY walk around to see who is at their desk at 8 am and 5pm. They are very cheap and do not even give you the tools to do your job. I had to buy my own mouse! Benefits for a startup are very few. They hired a bunch of people everyone is miserable and looking elsewhere. Most of the people I know that took the jobs here were in a bad spot and had to take the job. I don't for see this being a long term place for anyone. We never know who is going to be fired from week to week. The common theme from ex employees if that they had no idea they were getting canned until they came in that day.

As always, my door, HR and the doors of your managers and sales leaders are open if you have any issues and would like to have a direct conversation. Making sure every sales rep is successful as we scale is very important and is a corporate objective, as such we have invested a lot in the past 6 months to transform our sales organization in FY20 to be one of the best in the industry. We’ve brought in experienced leadership, we’ve transformed our territories to balance accounts fairly, we revamped our sales comp plans to make them not only competitive but also uncapped the earnings potential, so the sky's the limit on commission. We have also instituted may new sales policies and programs such as LeanData Sales Academy, Presidents Club, adjusted quotas across the board to make sure our sales team can achieve their goals. We’ve hired many more ADRs and boast one of the only sales organizations that have a nearly 1:1 ADR to Sales AE ratio. Again, sales is not easy and change can take time but with the help and support of a program and organization such as the one at LeanData, we hope all of our sales team members can achieve their goals. Ventajas

The product works — and customers love it. Before joining LeanData, I was a customer who tried to bring it into every company I went to because I couldn't imagine doing demand gen without it. Our best source of new business is people who've used LeanData before and bring it in when they change jobs. Five years in a row on G2 with over 1,000 reviews and a 4.6/5 — the customers say it better than I can. The values aren't wall art. Customer First shows up in how every team makes decisions. Win as a Team is real — lone wolf personas don't last here, and honestly that's by design. Seek Diverse Perspectives means the executive team genuinely asks for input across the company, not just from the usual voices. Be Humble and Keep Learning means we're sometimes moving fast through ambiguity — especially with AI right now — but I'd rather be at a company that moves and learns than one that stands still. And Act Like an Owner means you'll have real responsibility and real autonomy. If you want to own something and drive it, you'll thrive here. The people are the other thing. Not toxic, not full of drama — real people who genuinely care about each other and the work. I've felt supported here in ways I haven't always experienced in tech, and I see that same environment extended to everyone.

Desventajas

The Santa Clara office is large but could use some love — the hot water situation is a running joke, and it's not the gleaming campus you'd find at one of the big tech companies. The commute can be rough, though it's only 2-3 days a week which makes it manageable. Comp and benefits are good but not top-of-market for the Bay Area. If you're optimizing purely for perks and salary, there are flashier options out there. For me the tradeoffs aren't close, but worth knowing going in.

Ventajas

LeanData is a well-run company with a strong product, clear market position, and a leadership team that is deeply invested in the business. There is a high bar for performance, and the company continues to evolve as it scales. One of the strengths is the level of ownership and visibility you can have (if you seek it), especially if you’re comfortable operating in a cross-functional environment.

Desventajas

The pace and expectations require a high degree of adaptability, and role scope can feel fluid as priorities shift. This may be a challenge for those looking for a more structured or narrowly defined path. Compensation is less variable-heavy than some comparable roles at similar-stage companies. Benefits have improved, but are not yet as comprehensive (for example, no 401k match).
