Landed has the healthiest company culture of anywhere I've ever worked. The three co-founders (Jonathan, Alex, and Jesse) have built a tight-knit team that highly collaborative, respectful, focused, and open to new ideas. Unlike a lot of venture-backed startup in Silicon Valley, the founders don't have an ego or drama program and spend time developing the skills of every employee. Two things make Landed's culture particularly unique: 1) A focus on continual personal growth, 2) Open and honest communication between all employees at all levels. On the first point, the company devotes financial resources to help employees get personal coaching, skills building, or other growth-related expenditures. Community volunteer activities are encouraged and employees support each other's side projects. On the second point, influenced by Stanford Business School's "touchy feely" class, employees hold regular sharing sessions that are an open forum to talk about feelings. Although this might seem intimidating to people who aren't used to open communication and sharing vulnerable experiences with their co-workers, Landed's leaders have built a safe and supportive environment where this type of dialogue comes naturally.

I don't have direct cons besides saying that not everyone will be a perfect fit for Landed's unique culture. For example, people looking for highly structured work environments where they are always told what do, or people who are deeply uncomfortable sharing their feelings with co-workers, might want to look elsewhere. But personally, I find these aspects of Landed's culture among the main reasons I love working there.
