Ventajas

the only pro is they are a real company with real content in their website so I can show people what they do.

Desventajas

Working here has been a unique challenge, especially with their approach to time zones. While the company requires you to follow a 9-to-5 California schedule, they hire people from all over the world, including the East Coast and even China. This often leads to late-night calls (like 10 PM) for East Coast employees, and I can only imagine how difficult it is for colleagues in vastly different time zones. The project management leaves much to be desired. Boundaries are nonexistent, and planning is chaotic. It's common to receive last-minute messages late at night, or during office hours, get vague requests like, "Hey, are you free to talk?" only to wait 20 minutes because the manager decided to take a lunch break. Their favorite suggestion for solving problems? "Have you tried using ChatGPT?" or "We should see if AI can help with this problem." It's a recurring theme that doesn’t inspire confidence in their leadership. The legal and HR teams don’t make things easier. Legal will suggest fixing language in policies but leave you to figure out the details yourself. Meanwhile, HR has a habit of copy-pasting job descriptions without review—like using a lead-level job description in a contract for an intern. Lastly, the treatment of unpaid interns is concerning. The company seems to stretch the concept of "paying with experience" to its limits, often overworking them without proper compensation. It's time for companies to value people with actual pay, not just promises of experience.
