Ventajas

Many people are great to work with, and actually want to make the company a success.

Desventajas

Honestly the company just feels completely lost now. Every few months there’s some new “strategy” or big leadership push and everybody’s supposed to act like THIS is finally the thing that’s going to fix everything. Then six weeks later nobody talks about it anymore and we move on to the next fire drill. Communication is terrible. People find out about major changes through rumors, random Slack/Teams messages, or after decisions are already made. Half the time nobody even knows who owns what anymore. Leadership keeps talking about vision and transformation while employees are sitting there wondering what the hell is actually going on. Competing strategies, teams and product lines. Morale is awful. Tons of good people have either left already or mentally checked out. Also feels basically impossible to move up internally - senior hires are almost exclusively external, which has led to the loss of culture and values. Meanwhile executives keep reshuffling things and acting surprised that nobody trusts them anymore. Used to actually like working here. Now it mostly just feels exhausting.

Ventajas

Good pay, some tolerable employees, lunch perk (when people aren’t taking your lunches), commuter friendly location

Desventajas

* The office floods more often than it should, and when it happens you’re expected to figure it out by working from home or out of backup spaces that aren’t great * There are basic respect issues that never get addressed, like people taking each other’s lunches, which says a lot about the culture * The company talks a lot about diversity, but the office itself doesn’t really reflect that * A lot of middle managers seem overwhelmed or unprepared to actually lead, so direction is often unclear * There’s a weird pressure at times to take on things that aren’t really your responsibility * When something goes wrong, it’s common for blame to get passed around instead of actually solving the problem * Parts of the culture feel more like a clique than a professional workplace * Drinking in the office is treated as normal and even encouraged, which can feel uncomfortable depending on the situation. At times, the environment became unprofessional during social events, and concerns around behavior did not seem to be taken seriously by HR. * There are frequent breakdowns in execution, and things fall through the cracks more than they should * The NYC office itself has a lot of ongoing issues and doesn’t feel well thought out for day to day work * Some leadership decisions are made by people who don’t seem to have the experience or support needed for the role * Overall, the environment can feel disorganized and, at times, more chaotic than collaborative
