Ventajas
- Extensive and informative 5 week training program before you hit the phones - Everyone in the department is very friendly and always ready to lend a hand - I had a very supportive manager - Loved my co-workers - Lots of room to explore other roles and departments. This was also highly encouraged - Benefit package was really good
Desventajas
- Dealing with high volume calls and angry customers is not fun - Some situations are out of your control - You have to work with the adjusters and they aren't always co-operative so leads to you getting yelled at by the customer - Every minute of your time is monitored - You have to report your washroom breaks - Bad planning due to some circumstances. During my time there, we had multiple floodings in our province, wildfire in another and snowball hail storm in another. We were not giving proper instructions on what to do ahead of time as they were outside our usual claim procedures. Very poor management support during those times and we were covering phone lines for other agents all over Canada. - Salary is low for what you deal with on the daily.
