Like all companies I've worked for, the development schedules are compressed. The company started out providing physical security for retail products, and that is still an important part of their portfolio, but the pace of mechanical development and the deliverables are different from electronics development and software deliverables. Fortunately, management has been starting to respond to the realities of dealing with electronics and software, as well as the lead times involved with agency approvals for wireless products.
Also like many other employers, InVue could do a better job of providing mentors for fresh graduates. Admittedly, this is expensive and time-consuming, but seasoned employees are hard to find at any time, and, while no company wants to be just a training ground for the rest of the industry, there needs to be a way for fresh graduates to be successfully brought on board.
