Ventajas
The company is trying to attract software talent and there is an opportunity to get promoted quickly if you are somewhat talented. There are some managers who are smart and care, but the smart ones almost always express their frustration with senior management's decisions.
Desventajas
No company culture, often felt siloed, software development for complicated applications is almost entirely outsourced, and virtually no onboarding. Most of the software team's job is to manage contracted software teams from other parts of the world and decrypt their documentation, which is a shame since the company's software is needed to be perpetually deployed and managed in hospitals and blood centers around the world.
