Having been in the company for awhile, it seems like the company is facing significant challenges, including unclear product direction, difficulty raising funds (usually covered up with "funds are coming in soon") ongoing cost-cutting measures that have resulted in layoffs, marketing budgets reduced & sudden Japan market closure. There is no proper support for employees who are being let go, and job stability for newly created roles is uncertain. Despite this, the company continues to hire for new positions, even as it dismisses experienced new employees after a short probationary period. Random let gos & hires can negatively impact team/employee morale and job satisfaction, however these were all not taken into consideration. Higher management does not care & HR has no influence or power to be the voice of the employees as well. It is important for management to clearly communicate their plans and priorities to employees, and to provide support and fair compensation during times of change, however none of the above was done. Despite cost cutting measures, instead of working on building team morale, there were excessive drinking sessions and parties planned. Through the partying and disregard for proper conduct, occasionally there are rumours of scandals. Additionally, layoffs seemed to be performed in a selective manner based on the closer circle party group. This may suggest a lack of fairness and impartiality in the decision-making process.
