Ventajas

Multilingual experience. Established company. A lot of opportunities for professional development. Competitive salary

Desventajas

Beware: extreme stress and pressure. As a fresh graduate I was facing severe burnout and depression after one year of working there and needed to quit. As an ecologically mindful person, I feel the company does not do enough in order to reduce its impact on the environment. The employees are taken as numbers, just mere resources and not human and sensitive beings. I was profoundly unhappy, the company wants to have a well functioning machine without any innovative and creative thinking. Plus you work in cubicles, you feel constantly watched, evaluated, no privacy at all. If you are introvert you are going to hate it. This company is a big no no no for most of the people (though may appeal to merciless extrovert and egoistic sharks). Also technologically outdated.

Ventajas

Great all around compensation - from salary, benefits (401k & pension & flexible work], medical [fantastic] Great people - at the company you understand everyone around is came from being one of the smartest people at their previous job/university. Within IT the overwhelming majority of people really care for you, this feels way more collaborative than competitive. Career Development - lots of opportunities to grow in breadth of experience to get deep in your skills and grow in leadership skills

Desventajas

Work Politics - being such a large corporation with a lot of history there is a tendency to be work politics/red tape sheerly because of the size of the company. However, it is not really bad if you are willing network , put yourself out there to talk with leaders, and be a normal hard-working enjoyable employee. If you do these two things you will succeed at ExxonMobil.
