Work for much longer than signed on the contract with no benefits at all (even after few months)

Desventajas

The company is based on fake review that previous employees have to right as a task with the best grade possible. A company that publicly says things but delete all opposite opinions when all the team doesn’t fall on you before.

We are usually happy to hear where we can improve, but this is now your 3rd incoherent attempt at making a point without providing any constructive arguments or facts. Maybe try honesty for a change and admit that you were dismissed from Eventerprise's internship program due to gross misconduct and insubordination, which included the fraudulent editing of official company documents. Fortunately the vast majority of our Young Gun interns have far more integrity and prefer to advance their careers in an honest and hard-working manner, as can be seen from their feedback: https://www.eventerprise.com/page/eventercamp-internship/

A really experienced and talented team of executives. Executives work with employees, everyone from interns upwards can approach anyone for advice or help. Focused on staying at the forefront of the digital trend in business. Fantastic opportunity for students to gain some real world experience, in an international work environment.

Desventajas

Despite the many Cons, I cannot recommend Eventerprise enough, however: Terrible Salaries. Employees are payed well below industry standards (having worked on their contracts) Internships are unpaid (for legal reasons, but this is still a con). Two critical systems, Recruitment and University Outreach, were left to interns. Once the interns left, no one new enough about the Recruitment and Outreach software, to figure out what went wrong. Relying so heavily on interns means that (roughly) every 3 months, employees (current example: Digital) have to worry that they will have to take on extra work, while they scramble to fill the gap (Graphic Design YG). While having an open-plan office with music playing is nice, when you're trying to do serious work, the constant distractions can be frustrating. One conference room, always booked, meant we were forced to conduct interviews out in the hallway very often.

Thank you for the frank feedback and highlighting that Eventerprise is a great place for students to get real world experience. However, we do feel that some of your comments deserve better context. As you know, Eventerprise is an early-stage startup, which means the value proposition for employees lies in gaining experience and honing their skills in an innovative international environment, as well as reaping future rewards as the company grows and scales, rather than the instant gratification of market-related salaries. The whole management team, including the CEO, are working at substantial discounts to their market value, because they all believe in the huge potential of the Eventerprise platform and have great faith in the team driving it. This is by the way a standard scenario for early-stage digital companies like ourselves. All the above were made clear to you on multiple occasions during your own recruitment process and you seemed to concur with our approach. Why else would you join the team? Your reference to unpaid internships as a 'con' is a bit disingenuous since we are not allowed in terms of South African law to pay interns from foreign countries, who, as you should know, form the majority of our interns, most of the time. Why not also mention that students from top universities across the world, including many South African students, participate in our internship programme despite being told upfront that it is unpaid, because it offers exposure to digital and entrepreneurial skills not easily found elsewhere? The alternative is that we charge between $3,000 and $5,000 per person, depending on area of participation and duration, for what amounts to a high-level skills boot camp that can and has kicked-started quite a few successful careers. As a global platform that is part of the sharing economy we prefer to avoid that option in favour of a clear quid pro quo that delivers real value. We are also very proud of the significant contributions that talented interns from across the world have made to our business. Participating as full team members on go-to-market projects is a key value proposition for Eventerprise interns. Here's just one example of how valuable the experience was for a Cornell University postgraduate: https://www.eventerprise.com/blog/high-praise-cornell-postgraduate-eventerprise-internship/ Please note that Eventerprise uses the Hubstaff time-tracking software as a 'clock-in and -out' tool due the different starting and finishing hours of interns, and not as a performance management tool. It's a bit worrying that you were not aware of this as a team member involved with recruitment. However, we do take note of your comment and will make extra sure all current and future interns understand its use. You mention that critical recruitment systems were left in the hands of interns. Since we employed you to manage those systems it could be asked why you were not taking ownership of your field of responsibility. It seems a bit unfair to blame interns for your own failure. Lastly, we're sorry that the office music bothered you. We've asked Khaya to skip the heavier urban tunes for some laid-back Country & Western :-) Jokes aside, Eventerprise and the realm of international SaaS startups is not for everyone. It takes IQ as well as EQ, and lots of grit, to succeed in this demanding, but ultimately very rewarding environment. That said, we do wish you well with your career and hope that you find a position where you can develop to your full potential.

Eventerprise is a true digitally born tech company. The environment is extremely fast-paced and the company is online 24/7. You learn a lot in a very short time and you get real responsibilities from day one. The executive team (consisting of Gotz, Birgit and Charlie) is very experienced and knowledgeable businesspeople and you'll be working alongside them. Eventerprise has an open office space, meaning you could be sitting next to the CEO discussing your work and challenges for the day. This is, in my opinion, a unique experience, whereas you won't find this anywhere else. - Very fast paced - Great executives, who trust you and invest their time in you. This is the biggest Pro. Such great businesspeople, with so much experience, investing their time in you is a big learning experience - Very knowledgeable Head of Department managers - Lots of interns (Young Guns as they call them) - Real responsibilities from day 1 - Very diverse workforce (people from all over the world) - Cape Town - beautiful city

Desventajas

It could be a con that if you're coming to Cape Town for a chilled time, with an internship on the side, then Eventerprise might not be the company for you. As I said above you'll get real responsibilities and there's always something to do. They don't expect you to work extreme hours, but they do expect you to give your all and to work hard.
