Ventajas

I loved this job because I could work when I wanted and it was totally based on my availability. I could work more when I had more free time and less when I was busy with school and other jobs. I got some amazing tips from sits as well as met some really incredible people at the hotels I got to work at.

Desventajas

The only con I have is that it's not reliable income but that was not my only job and helped me make extra money on the side.

None the owner has no heart, they pay horribly

Desventajas

This agency makes you pay for all the vetting which is background check, drug test, Background check with trust line I can see if they make you pay for your TB test I've never worked for a company So cheap in my life that they make you pay for all of that. Also the owner as as greedy as you can get never knew a company where if you are sick and you have to not go to the sitting she charges you you need to have a credit card to leave with them so that she can charge you never in my life have I ever seen such a greedy owner and she is not very nice at all if you're sick she doesn't care she expects you to still go to work has no heart at all unless it's for money. And the also pay horribly about $13 an hour and you also get nothing for gas I work for companies that pays better and hour and pay you for gas

Yes, in order to be on our sitter referral list, you must be qualified, including current CPR and First Aid certifications. Many applicants come with the required qualifications, some do not. We entertain hundreds of sitters who would like to be on our referral list and it is up to them to be qualified or not and show us that they are qualified to be on our list. Also, some applicants end up not following-through with the rest of our process (interviews, reference checks, etc.), so our obtaining their qualifications for them would not work from that standpoint either. Builders have to pay to obtain their own contracting license, accountants pay to obtain their CPA certification, etc….It is no different for sitters who want to be on our referral list. And, the cost of getting the required qualifications is approximately $X, which can be earned back in one or two sits. The sitters’ compensation depends on which city they are in, but most cases, they receive more than double the minimum wage (and in all cases, substantially more). Each sitter applying to be on the referral list knows what she/he will receive, so if the amount is not satisfactory, why would you want to be on the list? No sitter has to take a sit if they don’t want to, so if the sit is too far for that sitter to drive, she/he does not have to accept the sit. If you do accept a sit, you need to follow-through. Just like parents who book your time have to follow-through and pay a cancellation fee if they do not provide enough advance notice of cancelling, so does a sitter. Also, just like a parent, if your doctor provides a note confirming sickness, no cancellation fee is charged.
