Ventajas
On the professional side you will go weeks without seeing your manager. There has been a little progress on decentralizing management (as is appropriate when your engineering department has staff at 5 different locations throughout the state), but the efforts have been anemic, so if you are experienced in the field and don't need any training and/or hate having to see your boss every day, this is the job for you.
Desventajas
They will promise you training that doesn't materialize and then blame you for not knowing how to do everything. The workload is incredibly uneven and they will get bugs up their butts about how you spend your downtime. Work from home can be extended and withdrawn completely at the whims of management, regardless of what they tell you when they hire you. Pay is arbitrary and doesn't reflect the value you bring to the company.
