Desventajas
DailyObjects has regrettably devolved into a workplace marred by a series of distressing issues. The company upholding synthetic etiquettes and diplomacy has led to a pervasive culture of faux teamwork, and blatant favoritism. Appreciation is now an exclusive domain reserved for those who excel at putting on a show and so called inexperienced leads, leaving the majority of employees with a sense of unappreciated frustration. There is almost no recognition for departments' hard work other than the design department. Employees are disposable resources here, not valued. The few positive reviews here are fake, induced to bring up the rating in the past few months, do not be fooled by those. The potential leadership of the COO, is often stifled by the CEO, who micromanages every facet of the company, even undermining the COO's authority publicly. This shows how the foundation of the company is itself the core of the problem here. A considerable number of employees who remain within the company appear to have developed a toxic disposition, especially the higher up the corporate ladder you look. Work from home is a luxury only reserved for sycophants and family members. The CEO seems to lack self-esteem and thus prefers sycophantic behavior to boost his ego. This has created a culture where only those who engage in such behavior find contentment, while the rest suffer in silence. CEO's actions, such as this one time locking employees out of the office in scorching heat for minor lateness, are emblematic of his inflated ego and lack of empathy. After this action the same day, there was a poor outburst from him where he mentioned company is going in loss and all you want is your appraisal. Whereas, in a speech less than a month before this it was mentioned in a celebration that the company is really doing well financially. It was evident that this action was his poor attempt at saving his money and not giving employees their rightful appraisals based on people coming in 10-15 minutes late. After this incident when reviews popped up, rather than responding constructively to honest reviews, he resorted to terrorizing employees who dare to voice their concerns. They expect you to be available 24x7, think it is right to call in employees on short notice on off Saturdays in the name of "start up" (it is not a start up anymore, it has been 11+ years, at this point all Saturdays should be off). The company does not have any fixed policy and keep changing them for their convenience. Upon noticing increase in leave applications during festive season their leave policy without notice changes from 15 days in advance to one month in advance, and anyone not adhering to it will have to endure "twice" the paycut if they go for unapproved leaves. They do not consider employees to be humans or have a personal life. They also do not have established appraisal cycles, one has to circle around the HR and CEO to even start the process. DO exploits the lack of practice of labour laws in India to the fullest! In addition to these issues, it is important to note that a substantial part of the company is composed of family members, as the CEO himself often refers to it as a "lala ki dukan" (stop using this as some analogy to mock your employees, we all agree with you, it's funnily ironical). This nepotistic culture further exacerbates the atmosphere of favoritism and lack of professionalism within DailyObjects. The CEO's enormous ego and outbursts renders him akin to a man-child. His inability to handle criticism or divergent opinions significantly impedes the company's growth and the establishment of a harmonious work environment. DailyObjects, once known for its positive work atmosphere within the creative industry, has dramatically deviated from its past reputation. Sensible employees have departed, while few who remain are actively seeking an escape route. The workplace has now become a breeding ground for toxicity, leaving employees scarred with emotional traumas, self-doubt and low morale. It is high time for a comprehensive reevaluation of the company's leadership, culture, and overall approach to nurturing a healthy work environment to boost morale and retain talent instead of harboring sacks of delegators. And yes, this review has been drafted by ChatGPT to maintain anonymity in writing style. I sincerely hope that the CEO takes some time to sit facing a wall, armed with a dictionary to substitute his lack of vocabulary, and reflects on this review. This reflection should be focused on fostering a more inclusive and positive work environment rather than surrounding himself with the snakes of sycophancy he has cultivated to gossip about this review. Nevertheless, I wish DailyObjects the success it deserves.
