Departments and branches are siloed. Massive deficits in communication between departments, management and staff. Conflicting priorities. Little to no consistency in policy and procedure between branches. Branch managers and supervisors have little to no autonomy regarding decision making around staffing, hiring, training etc. Employees are not valued -evidenced by low pay and no impact. Overt racism, sexism, homophobia and weaponized incompetence. Not recommended for BIPOC or LGBTQ. “Community” implies acceptance and support which you will struggle to find here in any authentic capacity. There is little investment back into the employees- they have to fight tooth and nail to advance, to receive updated equipment, to get paid appropriately…If you consider yourself a strong communicator you will be stifled here. Your voice will be shut down repeatedly. They do not want you to bring your whole self especially if you have ideas for growth or change.
