Ventajas
The coworkers I have worked with at Code Institute are excellent, and I have made several friends for life. They are passionate and truly care about what they do.
Desventajas
I'm echoing several other reviews here when I say that Code Institute has a serious upper management issue. I feel confident in saying that every success the company has had has been in spite of the company's senior leadership, not because of them. I personally have no confidence in the CEO's ability to lead the company, and from speaking to colleagues, I'm not the only one. Valuable feedback gets ignored to the point where nobody bothers to provide it anymore, which is all the more disheartening given how much people care about what they do. Micromanagement and misguided pushes for efficiency are rife. For example, requiring meeting request forms in which you must calculate the "total cost to the business" when you need to speak to a colleague for 30 minutes, or requiring staff members to check their emails hourly. Job performance must be boiled down to a number that can go into a spreadsheet, not tangible outputs. Unsurprisingly, turnover is very high as a result.
