Ventajas
Company is not going anywhere, everything is still going full steam ahead even while robotics companies all over Pittsburgh are laying off engineers. Fast paced research environment mean lots of opportunities to learn new skills/take on new responsibilities. Doing mechanical work here is great because the internal shops/technicians are excellent and responsive. Its really nice working with great techs because things just go so much more smoothly.
Desventajas
Sometimes things go wrong on a project and you end up working a lot of hours to meet a deadline. That's just the reality of working on projects with significant technical risk in an environment that cares a lot about delivering on deadlines/commitments.
