Ventajas
Unfortunately there are not many pros coming from this studio that others don't already offer... If you exclude the generic ones you can find elsewhere... - There's a cafeteria that offers breakfast and lunch to the employees (but a fee is deducted from the employees salary... so not really "free").
Desventajas
The studio only went down into a spiral of failures since the beginning of 2024, and it is poorly managed by the upper management who are a bunch of deceptive liars. In the end, it is all of us under them who end up getting screwed over. - Removal of the possibility to work full time from home and being imposed to work 2 days a week at the office even though we were hired and promised on multiple occasions this was never going to be removed as a perk. - Salary wage is under market in comparison to other studios. This wasn't much of an issue when we were allowed to work full time from home. But with the removal of the perk and the additional cost that will come to travel to the office is not making it worth it. - For 2024, upper management didn't wanted to reveal any numbers on the gross revenue of the business and claimed the studio under performed, thus causing this year to not have any bonus... Yet in previous years, the studio was always open and even gloated to all of the employees of its gross revenues and profits even for the years the mark weren't achieved. Obviously upper management is trying to lie as a mean to cut down on not having to pay any bonus in addition of trying to "justify" their reason on imposing a return to the office agenda. - CEO doesn't value or care about the employees of his company. Like he previously mentioned at an employee gathering when someone brought up the matter of the return to office might cause many of us to leave, he replied he didn't cared and those who would leave will just be replaced... - 2 waves of layoffs within the Montreal studio, in addition of the closure of the Midwinter studio. Let alone, they announce they acquired a new studio while closing Midwinter (showing how they truly don't care about their talent). - Upper management are liars while the CEO is an old stuck up with old fashioned values. Even though work from home have proven to only be beneficial to both the employees and the company due to the productivity, the CEO believes everyone will be even more productive and coperative after they are forced to waste time on travel and money in addition when we are all underpaid. - Many of the "positive reviews" here are shill reviews made by human resource as a mean to bring back up the studio's general rating... Take the time to read across all of the negative reviews and you'll notice the general pattern. Same for those Best Workplace in Canada... No one received any survey to inquire about our opinions about the company as employees, and yet the studio received a bunch of awards...
