      Ventajas

      Had alot of freedom over how the job was done Learned alot about machining (both cnc and manual) Was fortunate enough to have some knowledge guys as coworkers. Taught me to appreciate the job I have now even on the worst days.

      Desventajas

      Management lied to everyone in one way or another. The union wasn't like most unions. It was setup to be flexible which defeats the purpose. At the time insurance was negotiated outside of the contract. Not to sure what it's like now. The payscale only applied to newer people and the older guys got paid above that especially if they had good oral skills. Saw a few good guys get screwed over for no good reason. It took alot of overtime to make a decent wage.

      Ventajas

      Air conditioned if the owner is feeling generous that day.

      Desventajas

      Very shady management. If they think they can keep you under their thumb they will and they'll gaslight you every chance they get. Just do this and all will be well they say. Well start you at this pay, oh well give you a raise if you do this, oh this is only temporary.... yeah alright man. Don't work here.
