Supportive and approachable management — my manager is friendly, patient, and always willing to answer questions. A senior engineer also mentors me, helping me complete tasks and get familiar with new systems. Great learning opportunities, especially if you are already an Ansys software user, with many resources available. HR is supportive and organizes workshops throughout the internship to help interns understand the business and connect with different teams. Excellent work–life balance with no unreasonable pressure, and plenty of chances to network with employees across the company.

Many internship positions in Ansys Electronics department are located in Canada rather than the U.S., likely for cost-related reasons. While HR highlights the potential for internships to lead to full-time roles, in my experience there were no clear career paths, extension offers, or openings within my team at the time. It took several weeks to gain access to some necessary resources, which made the initial period slow and less engaging. Work assignments can sometimes feel narrow in scope, limiting exposure to different projects or technologies.
