As a PM contractor, I have some control over my workload - when offered potential projects I can choose to decline or accept. The company provides a lot of structure in terms of how to engage with clients and deliver on projects which helps streamline the process and create consistency. While you can limit the number of projects you take on, sometimes you will not receive as many project opportunities as you want.
