Desventajas
Frequent layoffs with no contingencies in place to handle the laid off staff’s work. Management ill equipped to manage personnel problems. I was stalked in the office by another therapist who interrupted my individual and group sessions and followed me into my office with extraordinarily high frequency to disrupt me. He came into my office repeatedly whenever I had my door open to say random things that didn’t even need to be in an email. He walked into my groups in session to look over my group rosters and would start talking to me with group in session. He knocked on my door repeatedly while I was conducting individual sessions. He acted and talked as if he was in charge because our manager’s lack of leadership left a leadership vacuum. I talked to him about his behavior. I confronted him about his behavior. He told me “If I wasn’t this directive nothing would get done around here”. He manipulated work to give himself easier group assignments and manipulated his hours to work a shorter week. But he wasn’t even a manager or a supervisor! My manager’s guidance: “redirect him”. My manager failed to address the problem. Instead “protocols” were promised that would be implemented at some later mythical time that. would “absorb the problem”. I left out of self preservation because Advanced Recovery was unwilling to handle a significant staff problem.
