Ventajas

Upper management generally takes care of you, especially the owner. If you come in and do a good job, you WILL be taken care of. On top of that, most of the people on the floor are great to work with.If you already have some good training and aren't interested in a supervisory role, this can be a great place to work.

Desventajas

In this size of business there is little room for talent to move up in the company, and some mid-level managers will actually squash talent if they view it as a threat. Training is minimal to non-existent, so only quick-learning self-starters are able to do well. Lack of training and a slam-bang-done attitude are big problems here.

Ventajas

Working a morning shift is Mon-Fri 6am-2:45. So you have the rest of the afternoon off and Sat/Sun off. Overtime is time and a half. Holidays off. And great vacation time.

Desventajas

The job is really tiring and can be very repetitive. I mean you're putting metal in a machine and waiting for it to be done before putting another part in and doing everything all over again.

Loved working there and put in 22 years.

Desventajas

Like any machine shop it has, it's slow periods.
