Desventajas
Unfortunately, working at AvePoint was one of my worst professional experiences. Leadership lacks experience, maturity, and basic people-management skills. There is very little humility at the top, and a clear disconnect between how leadership wants to operate and the reality of the market. The company tries to impose Microsoft-style sales processes without having the brand power, product positioning, or market leverage to support them. There is a constant lack of clarity on priorities. Direction changes frequently, which makes it almost impossible to build a real sales strategy—especially in a role that requires farming, long-term planning, and planting seeds for medium- to long-term growth. Everything feels reactive and short-sighted. Sales targets are overly ambitious and largely unattainable. The strategy appears designed in a way that makes it difficult to earn variable compensation, rather than enabling success. Targets are not aligned with territory reality or market conditions. The interview process sets expectations that simply do not exist once you join. Promises are made that are not honored, which leads to early disappointment and frustration. The organization as a whole is extremely disorganized—processes, communication, priorities, and execution all suffer. On top of that, the health insurance offering is poor compared to industry standards.
