Was nice at first. Had good conversations throughout 5 meetings over the course of a couple of weeks. After all the interviews I sent a check in email and was told to “hang in there” while they continued interviews. Two more weeks go by and no communication so I send another check in to the recruiter. What a surprise to get an out of office reply that the recruiter is on vacation for two weeks… so they clearly forgot about me. I forward the email to the hiring manager and then the next day I get a generic rejection email. Very disappointed with the experience. If you found someone better, great. But don’t ignore your candidates and then send a lousy template to them. This is over the course of a few months and I’m jobless, time is of the essence.
