I applied online and received an assessment on the Neurolytics platform with a 20-minute time limit. The test consisted of around 20 culture-fit questions and 40 additional questions, including complex puzzles, general knowledge, and sequence prediction problems etc. The pacing felt unrealistic. The instructions effectively allocate about 2.5 minutes per 10 questions, but in practice it is nearly impossible to complete unless you already know the answers. In some cases, I could barely finish reading a single question before significant time had already elapsed, leaving almost no time to attempt the remaining ones. Overall, the format felt rushed and not well aligned with meaningful evaluation. It gives the impression of prioritising speed over actual assessment of ability. Personally, I found it discouraging and not a good use of candidate time. I would suggest others consider this carefully before applying, as the process may not reflect a fair or serious evaluation of candidates.

Applying was very easy. No CV necessary. Quickly after applying, I was sent an assessment to see if Bunq and I could be a match. A few days later I was sent a technical assessment. At this point I hadn't spoken to a person yet, so I didn't even know yet if the salary expectations were even aligned. Regardless, I started with the assessment. I had some questions about it, which took some days to get an answer to. I invested a lot of time and effort into this assessment. Gave up family time for it. It has now been 1,5 weeks and I have yet to receive any sort of response from Bunq. I followed up, just to confirm that they had received my assessment, but no response to that either. I feel like my time has been massively wasted and I am being ghosted. It is probably a good indicator on how personnel is treated here. The least that Bunq could have done is acknowledged the time and energy I invested into their recruitment process and given me constructive feedback about the assessment, if they had any. They haven't spent any time or energy into their own process and as a result I feel massively disappointed and disrespected.
