Phone interview with recruiter, 20min Video interview with laboratory manager and department manager, 40 min On-site interview with laboratory manager, department manager, and members of staff, plus a site and laboratory tour, 1.5 hours. Was feeling really good about it, especially after the on-site interview and tour. Then I was ghosted for almost 3 weeks. I checked in two times with the recruiter with no answer, then I got a phone call at 6:30pm on a Friday night to tell me that I was qualified, intelligent, asked all the right questions, and everyone I spoke with liked me but I didn't get the job and they wanted to tell me directly rather than email because it's more personal that way. Have to say I didn't appreciate that.
