Lengthy, asked all questions but pathetic feedback at the end. First Engineering Manager round went for 2 hours , they asked all sort of engineering oractices and related technical questions. Feedback was positive at last. Then comes Architecture round, in which the peraon aaked design architecture, component level, technology choices with rationale etc like a typical architect ir senior dev profile. I got a feel that this is way beyong Engineering Manager purvurview with expectation of code review too. This was highly unprofessional and gave me a feel that Walmart is a hyped up stupid product company to work for. Later after a week no response as usual from HR and when i followed up for feedback (as i was curious) they told me i did not get through technical round. I am sure the folks at similar level will be no where doing all these in their daily work time as managing people, delivery and stakeholders itself is a big thing. Total time waste and i think this is why the company us going down badly and not having good folks inside as they dont know what each role does and expecting people to know all attitude will not attract folks!
