I interviewed with Manual for a role in marketing. The process included a 30-minute call with the recruiter, a 30-minute call with the hiring manager, and a case study that I spent about two full days preparing. I then presented my work in a 45-minute call. Interestingly, they invited six people to this call. Unfortunately, after investing significant time and effort, I received a rejection with very vague feedback. This left me with the impression that the case study may have been more about obtaining free consultancy than genuinely assessing candidates. While the recruiter and hiring manager were polite, the lack of transparency and clarity in feedback combined with the heavy case study requirement made the overall experience quite disappointing.
