I have interviewed with Verizon Wireless twice, and unfortunately, both experiences were highly disappointing. After going through the effort to prepare and attend their interviews, I was met with complete silence afterward—no feedback, no updates, and ultimately, no closure.
Ghosting candidates after they’ve taken the time to engage in your hiring process is not only unprofessional but also incredibly disrespectful. It reflects poorly on the company’s values and how they view potential employees. The lack of communication leaves candidates in limbo, wondering if they should move on or keep waiting. For a company of Verizon’s stature, I expected much better.
A transparent hiring process is a basic courtesy. If a candidate isn’t selected, the least you can do is notify them promptly and perhaps offer some constructive feedback. It doesn’t take much, but it speaks volumes about respect and professionalism.
I hope Verizon Wireless takes these comments seriously and reevaluates their approach to candidate engagement. Everyone’s time is valuable, and no one deserves to be treated this way.

Canned questions that require you to describe a situation, actions taken and results. Simple enough, but the questions were weird - even the Director asking questions had to laugh a little...
It wasn’t tough at all. Standard STAR questions in the interview manual that all interviewers must follow. Met with a few folks on the team for them to assess me but I really also did my own assessment. Everyone seemed cool.
