      Entrevista de Senior Sales Manager

      Candidato de entrevista anónimo
      Londres, Inglaterra
      Sin oferta
      Experiencia negativa
      Entrevista normal

      Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Vanta (Londres, Inglaterra) en nov 2025

      Entrevista

The process began with a 30-minute introductory interview with the Recruiter, followed by a conversation with the Hiring Manager, who leads EMEA Sales. After the Recruiter interview, I received an automated email with detailed information about the hiring process, timelines, and requirements, along with some PDFs. The recruitment coordinators were responsive and handled scheduling efficiently. The interview with the Hiring Manager was average at best, some basic questions and others that felt like they needed refinement. One of the questions asked was, “Why do you think salespeople fail?” The Hiring Manager also joined the call a few minutes late, did not apologise and moved quickly through a series of rapid-fire questions, leaving a few minutes at the end for me to ask mine. When I asked how he would describe the GTM organization, he answered with a single word: “Intense.” While that might be appealing to some, it immediately felt like a red flag to me. I asked him to elaborate, and his explanation suggested an environment that scrambles at the end of each month to hit targets, despite those targets being quarterly. That indicated they have quarterly targets but pressure to deliver monthly. His comments pointed to a lack of planning and unnecessary pressure on both reps and leaders due to insufficient preparation. When I probed further about targets, the numbers and expectations appeared quite ambitious, and the low rep participation rates shared were unsurprising in that context. I requested feedback from both the Recruiter and Hiring Manager regarding the interview and any perceived gaps, but months later I still haven’t received a response. Additionally, I sent the Hiring Manager a thank-you message via email and LinkedIn immediately after our conversation, neither of which was acknowledged or responded to. While I’m disappointed not to have progressed, I’m ultimately relieved given the red flags and the lack of professional courtesy. Having interviewed hundreds of candidates myself, I always make time to respond to a candidate’s thank-you email, especially when we choose not to move them forward. The lack of professional etiquette, the approach to questions, the response to my questions and the insight shared did not make me excited to want to work for the hiring manager or Vanta.
