Process was approximately two weeks. First I had a Skype with the HR Recruiter, who clearly had no background in music and didn't understand the different departments at a label. He was unprofessional and very condescending when asking questions about previous jobs and salary. He also complained about the hiring manager who apparently is very difficult to schedule interviews with. I ended up meeting in person with five different people, and after the second interview I could tell I didn't want to work with their team. It was really corporate feeling even though they kept on insisting they were indie, and it seemed like they were told my their boss to grill the candidates. Out of the six people I met not a single one asked me about music. Usually these interviews are very conversational, but I just felt like they were going down a list of questions they googled. No follow up from HR, but that's to be expected as it's happened many times before with UMG.

Short initial interview with a recruiter. Walk through your resume and answer standard questions. Did want to specifically know what draws you to the certain sector of music. In this case, country music.
