Meet with several people and several rounds of interviews. There are behavioral based questions as well as questions about past experience. You get to talk to a person who is currently in that role.

The interviewer was polite and appeared to be just asking the questions in front of her. She did check for understanding of job duties and then asked if you could perform those duties. She was willing to answer the questions asked of her about the position. The interviewer did make me feel that she was not sure at that point of who she would be moving forward to the next level. In the end, she continued to be polite and speak in general terms, nothing specific.
