Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Thinx (New York, NY) en jun 2018

      Entrevista

Applied online via Angel.co, recruiter reached out for a phone screen about a week later. Was given a typical CX assignment and then invited to the office for an on-site interview. Met with the head of product who is currently overseeing the CX team, two current CX associates and then the head of HR. During my call with the recruiter, I immediately noticed that I was not getting to speak very much. She launched into what the team was looking for, what Thinx/Icon does but never prompted me with any questions, so I ended up feeling like we had a conversation versus an Interview. In some cases that can be nice, but in this case it felt like I didn't have a proper chance to convey my skills and really give her a detailed picture of who I was. I was moved forward quickly, however, and hoped to really dig into this when I was invited onsite. The assignment was your standard prompt and response cx assignment. Nothing too hard. When I got the Thinx office, I first met with the Head of Product, who immediately said "I like to keep these kinds of interviews casual and conversational." Again, I'm ok with this style, as I'm personally laid back, but halfway through our time together I felt like I had done far more listening than talking, and started to worry whether or not I would be asked any direct questions. I really wish I had been given more time/opportunities to speak, since I feel like I barely got to scratch the surface of my applicable skills and background. My interview with the two current CX associates went much better. They came prepared with specific questions and I was able to provide specific examples of how my skills translated to the role. Finally, I met with the head of HR. This last interview felt rushed and awkward, and left me feeling like something was "off". She said that it was up to her to determine if I would be happy at Thinx, but then (again) did not ask me a single question. I was prompted to ask any questions I had, but since it was my last interview of the day, lots of my initial questions had already been answered. I came up with some questions for her and we managed to have a productive conversation, but it felt forced and I was unsure about what kind of impression I made. At the end of this last interview, she cut us short when someone knocked on the door and told them we were done, when I had a few more points I felt I wanted to bring up. Overall, I felt like I did not get to actually speak as much as I had hoped, since there were very little questions being asked in my interview process. I got a great impression of the vibe at Thinx, and definitely felt connected to the cool women who interviewed me, but I worry that they didn't get to fully know me due to a lack of a formalized interview process. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more job postings in the future! The recruiter was very communicative after the interview, and kept me up-to-date with a timeline for their decision so I was not left hanging. Untillll, I asked for feedback and was totally ghosted. I emailed and even left a voice message for the recruiter. I really didn't like that, I felt like that was unprofessional and left a weird taste in my mouth.
