Entrevista de Call Center Customer Service Representative

      21 dic 2018
      Candidato de entrevista anónimo
      Vancouver, WA
      Sin oferta
      Experiencia negativa
      Entrevista difícil

      Solicitud

Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 4 días. Acudí a una entrevista en The Columbian (Vancouver, WA) en sept 2018

      Entrevista

The manager described how the hiring process was not going in my favor, but said that we should at least meet. She asked me hesitantly for an interview with no lead time. Both of those were red flags, but in this gig economy, sometimes things are like that, so I accommodated her. Unfortunately, I ended up being just a few minutes late. When I arrived, she and two older, female employees were standing up looking out the wall of windows to watch me come in. To get a better look at the parking lot through the glare, one had her hand over her brow. The hiring manager stood up behind the reception desk, evidently with nothing better to do. When I stated who I was meeting, she responded without introducing herself nor verifying my name. She did not make eye contact. They only words she exchanged were an exaggeration: "Your interview was about seven minutes ago and I don't want to waste my time with you." In order to communicate with her, I would have had to really assertively pressure her in order get her attention long enough to present evidence of a medical emergency. Pressuring her was not something I was willing to do just for what she had already said was a long-shot job interview. In the end, due to her demeanor, it wouldn't have made a difference if I was late because my dog died or family member had just suffered a stroke. She simply did not want to conduct the interview on work time and shut down any reasonable communication about it. In any case, be early, as their clock is fast and they might not know it. I am re-filtering my view of this business in light of how she pressured me with no lead time, colluded, did not introduce herself, did not verify my name, exaggerated negatively to suit herself, communicated poorly, bordered on being unreasonable and appeared to be creating an excuse in order to avoid due diligence. To me, she made a production out of an applicant being just a few minutes late for what was basically stated to be a only meet and greet, with no lead time. For herself, she carved out an hour of free time at work on a Friday before a holiday weekend.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

At this early point, the only question asked for the position in Vancouver, Washington was, "Do you know where we are located?" (Note: This is not the same business as The Columbian in new York.)
